Safina was born and raised in Lancashire, where she began her career in a solicitor’s firm at the age of 16. After working her way up, she qualified as a lawyer in 2011. However, despite her successful legal career, Safina always knew, at the back of her head, that she wanted to write—though she did not anticipate her first book being a children's one!

In 1999, Safina wrote a poem that was successfully featured in Kaleidoscope, a book curated by editor and author Dave Thomas. This was her first experience of seeing her work in print, and it ignited her creative journey.

In 2015, she even went as far as starting a novel and recalls reading the opening paragraph to one of her closest friends, Nicola, who, as all great friends do, encouraged her to keep going. Looking back at that chapter now, she doesn’t quite know where she was headed with it!

Described by her loved ones as gentle, loving, and vivacious, Safina has a deep love for nature, animals, and travel, and she aspires to embrace vanlife someday!

Safina is the proud (and sleep-deprived) mother of two delightful kids, one of whom inspired her first book! She describes motherhood as a journey that has taught her patience, courage, and so much love. It has also reaffirmed for her that coffee and biscuits can get you through everything in life!

Safina hopes to expand on her writing and hopefully touch the hearts of children and grown-ups alike around the world!
